Tires
Hello Everyone,

What tires are do you guys have on your Sport Trac?

I have Michelin Cross Terrain SUV tires on my ST.

Round rubber ones.

lol ok, I'm not really sure. I know I have a mixed set (front and rear). Fronts are doing great, but I think the po had those replaced before offing the truck. They're nice though. More of a highway tire than anything.

255/70r 16 Michelin LTX M/S tires.

I love Michelins, I had Goodyears on it when I bought it & switched them over. The big lesson I learned was with my wife's Elantra. I came with Michelin X tires. After they wore out I bought Coopers. The car handled poorly & the stopping distance increased.

Once they wore out I bought Michelins again & never looked back!

I have some General HTS which either were installed wrong to begin with or just dont work well with the truck.

my HTS are already cupping and they have flared up near the edge, ill take a pic if you want haha. Have had these tires for just over a year. they have plenty of tread left. General Tires makes some good stuff. I just think the guys who put them on never did the alignment even though I asked twice and brought it back for balancing.

That's too bad. That's one of the first negatives I've read about the HTS.

Weak shocks will cup the tires. You replaced those OEM's yet?

man i have replaced them twice actually. I had some generic blue shocks from napa but I have had Monroe reflex shocks for a long time now. the guys that put them on didn't even put a balance weight on one of the front tires. The guy at WalMart saw that and fixed it. That tells you something when the Wall Mart Mech. fixes the problem haha. I tried to get reimbursement from the seller but they of course said it was the roads I was driving on.

Like I said before. General Tire makes some good stuff, I'm sure the installation was wrong. when I first got my tires the truck road so well I could not believe now and still does some what. But the funny flares on the edge cause the ride to be some what sloppy.
