So how does this thing work

I have air shocks in the rear and I'm wondering if this thing can just plug into those?

ncranchero- 01-21-2010

Exactly. That's what it's for, made by Air-Lift. I have an older version to put on mine just haven't got around to it yet. I also have one with two controls, one for each shock. Don't know which I'll use yet. The compressor in the left side of the box in my photo is an Air-Lift commercial version.

alright but if you have one with one control can it not work for both shocks? based on the picture, which of course not the best thing to always go by, it comes with holes and several different valves.

Absolutely! That's what the Air-Lift kit you posted from Amazon does.

I've seen posts, here I think, where owners have installed two Schrader valves (manual fill) to control each shock separately. There was some conversation about air transferring from one shock to the other during cornering. I haven't found that to be an issue on mine and I only have one fill valve (Schrader) and the two lines tee off of it. So far I've had no issues with mine at all but I'm only running the minimum 35 psi in them since I lowered the Trac 2".I've had this on board air stuff laying around for a while waiting to put it to use. Other than the two separate controls having a certain "cool" factor I don't think they're worth the trouble. It's not like there's a lot of room to mount anything in these trucks!

Summit Racings site list more details. Before you buy, it's only good for 100 psi. From Stones earlier post the Monroe/NAPA's go to 150 psi. This is more for the air bags than for air shocks.

nobounce, yes it would work for the airshocks we have. It would put air into both shocks at the same time and keep it at a constant pressure. Pretty good price for it also. I'd like to get one, but just don't have the moolah right now.
