The one in the garage is a '74 I bought a few years ago and have been tinkering with it. Not much since we moved to VA.

:offtopic: Cool site! Looks like you have the Bug bug. :lol: :lol: Hope you replaced the steering stabilizer when you did the axle beams. A worn out stabilizer will get you a case of the "death wobble" like you've never seen!

My '68 had 88mm jugs, Empi cam & hi-lift rocker arms, Holley "Bug Spray" 2 bbl. carb, headers and a Hurst shifter to jam the close ratio 3rd & 4th gear mod. Had our own local Vee-Dub club. Still have one of the club decals decoupaged on a wooden plaque (by my then girlfriends mother).

alright so I have a question about your last picture. To me your front right tire is turned more drastically then your other tire. This is something that I have noticed from my ST, the tires do not look straight. Is this just an optical illusion?

Very interesting, I didnt take the time to look the pics over and never noticed that. It could just be the angle of the photo playing with you, but I will definately check that out... just as soon as the snow stops flying.
