Door ajar
Morning everyone,
Started my trac this morning and the "driver door ajar" alarm was on and will not go off. I will have a look through my shop manual when I get a chance, but if someone knows how to fix this off the top of thier head I would appreciate it. :hmmm:

Clean, WD40 the heck out of the door latch and slam the door a few times. Repeat as necessary.
Thanks Ncranchero, the problem seems to have gone away by itself, we just had a cold snap here and something must have been frozen.

Yea, off the top of my head, I would say.... close the door!
Just bustin' Steve is right. It's one of your door latches. I had that happen before. Used WD40 & lithium grease
LOL yeah I tried that Cabrera  Where is the switch? inside the door, yikes too lazy to pull out the manual

I had that happen with a Ranger...had to have the switch replaced, because it not only would say "Door Ajar" but it kept the interior lights on. There's moisture in the latch and when it gets cold it freezes up.

This happened to my stepdads ranger with 300K+ miles...lord only knows how the truck is still running.
He ended up just taking out the dome light and he had me stop* the dinger.
* = taking a drill to the piezo speaker
I always just would remove the fuse...PITA!
