Cream Puff's ReplacementAs some of you remember, I posted about my husband wanting to trade the Sport Trac in for another vehicle. The Nissan Titan was mentioned. Well, he traded in the Cream Puff on April 30 for a 2006 Titan. Still sad, but he's happy with a bigger truck. I only have two things I'm gonna to sell from it. The FORD seat covers and maybe a local sale of the bed extender because of shipping costs. Here's a picture of the Titan. I'm still gonna keep this site up because my interest is still there, even if I don't own the Cream Puff anymore. It's still nice to read and see other owners and their babies. :nosepick: So carry on Sport Trac Club owners!!!!

Congrats on the new vehicle. Unfortunately I can only say "eh" to the looks. I'm not a fan of the Titan. The front is to small looking and I'm not crazy with the lines of the vehicle. The ST is a much better looking vehicle. But congrats again. Don't want to sound rude. :(

Thanks Stone. I still miss the Cream Puff and I do make a few shots about missing it to my husband. I'm seeing ST's everywhere now. This morning at work, someone had a 07 black one. Of course, I had to follow it for sometime too.

Good luck with it, I am not a huge fan of them either, and I cant tell you how many times the one the electrician apprentice had his in the shop....

Just out of curiousity, what made you switch to Nissan, over say, a F-150. BTW, anyone notice that the new F-150 SuperCrew is looking quite SportTracy? I saw one the other day and noticed that it even had the same exterior tie downs as an '07 ST, as well as the curved gap between cab and bed.

The only way I have been able to distinguish between the new F-150 and the Trac at a distance is the roof rack.

Nissan I think came up cause of the look and the V8 with my husband. The Fords, we'll we're done with Ford for now. There's no decent Ford dealer around for sales and service. We test drove an F-150, but we didn't like it or the price tags that were on any of them. Plus, again, the dealership wasn't a friendly one.

sporttracbabe, unfortunately, that may be the reason I don't get my updated ST when I'm back on the market. My local Ford dealer sucks the big one. We bought my wife's '05 Mountaineer from them and to get them to work on it, it takes almost 2 weeks to even get it into the shop. Then when it's there the service is horrible. And they are a five star dealer (or whatever the hell Ford calls them)!!!!!!! The local Toyota shop is looking mighty sweet to me right now. (not that I'm ready to deal in the ST just yet)

It's funny. I wrote Ford's customer service about this. But never heard anything back from them. With at least 4 dealers we went to with the Sport Trac, one only came in with a somewhat positive experience. But then, lost it when they charged us for a tire rotation that never got done. Bought my Hyundai Elantra at the Hyundai dealer with no issues in 3 years!! I don't have to plan on wasting a whole day for an oil change with them like I did at the Ford dealers. They get it done in 1/2 hour and everything else I've gone back for has been covered under the 5yr. 60,000 warranty. Ford really needs to shape up with their dealers along with their vehicles before my husband and I go back to Ford.

I agree. That will be the ONLY reason that I will consider leaving Ford for. I have had my ST for 4 years now and I love it. Barring any unforseen problems, I will have it for quite awhile longer. Luckily I can do alot of the maintanence myself and don't have to rely on the dealer to often. I just hate it when I had to go there to have them look at it (they had the equipment to check the problem, I didn't)and get "talked down to" by the mechanic. I was a mechanic in the Army for 4 years and even went to school (for a year and that's an interesting story for another time)) to be a GM mechanic. I know my way around an engine. So things can get a little heated when they try to do that to me. We'll see what I'm driving in about another 3-4 years when I'm ready to trade in the ST.

I'm seeing the '07's EVERYWHERE now! I saw a silver one with the purdy V8 symbol on it.

The V8 is the main draw to me to go for another ST. The downside to that is they are AWD. I like the option of only having the rear wheels going or when needed to lock them all in. My wife's Mountaineer is AWD (with an option to "lock" them) and I'm not crazy about it. As I said before though, I'm not in the market for a new vehicle for quite some time, baring any major problems with the current ST.
