Auxilllary jack location
Hi All,

I have just been reading the manual for my 07 ST and in the steareo section it says there is an auxillary input next to the power point on the front of my console. Well I do not have the auxillary input there, my stereo has the button for aux. Could it be somewhere other than the manual indicates? If so any ideas where?

Thanks,
Calvi :goofy:

The button you are saying is for the "Sirius" input. Most model HU's have this even if you don't have the "Satallite Radio" option. :goofy:

Hi Stonemiser, How are ya,

I pressed the aux button just now, and the radio display said "no aux input" I am assuming it is telling me that there is no mp3 player plugged into the non existing aux input. The radio did not come with satelite, the previous owner had an aftermarket on the dash. My ST is an early model 07, maybe they did not have the aux input jack in the console as the manual states (page 38). :type:

If I remember correctly, there are a few HU's they use and they use a "General" description in the Owner's Manual to cover all the HU models they put in there. I don't have the 2nd Gen ST so someone with one may be able to help ya out more.

I have the input jack on my console. I play my iPod through it. My stereo has AM, FM, CD, DVD, SR (satellite radio) and AUX (for iPods or other MP3 players)

I have an '07 limited...some radio's didn't have the aux. Mine has the media center...has everything including navigation.

Thanks for the reply Devasmomma,

My system is different than yours, I don't have the dvd player or screen like yours, but the manual seems to say that my ST should also have an aux input, and even has the button for it, oh well, my daughters would have gotten more use out of that than I, 6 cd's of mp3's and the radio is good for me.

Diva, where is the input for the IPod/MP3 player? I think that is what he's looking for.

According to the manual it is on the front of the console, beside the 12v power plug.

Had to go out and take a picture of the console.

The input and the 12 volt adapter is in the same area...I put a little green arrow where the input is.

Nice entertainment unit Divasmomma, the aux port must only come with the deluxe system.

I traded in an'01 that was loaded for my '07...the only thing I miss on my '01 is my moon roof. But on my '07 I gained a DVD-Navigation system. I had a portable Magellan that I used in my '01, but it's not the same as having it built in and always accessible.

My DVD system came with a remote and two headsets. So losing my moon roof wasn't a bad trade off.

WOW! I can see why that option is big bucks! Looks great Divasmomma

are you sure the aux plug is not on the back side of the HU? some models that is how its ran.

I'd much rather have that vs. moonroof. We have a moonroof on our Mariner, and rarely use it. When it's sunny, it's too darn bright. If cloudy, too cold. I'll never request that feature again.

I loved mine...especially in the early mornings and late evenings during the spring, summer and fall. When I replaced my '01 with my '07 I was actually looking for one with a moonroof...but came across the one I eventually ended up buying...couldn't pass it up. Love all the extras of the media center, but I still have moments when I miss my moonroof.
